Supreme Court adjourns hearing of case against deputy speaker's rolling till Monday

Hamza Shahbaz will work on a day-by-day basis as interim chief minister under limited powers so he cannot leave the country"s largest province without a chief executive.
During the hearing against the rolling of the Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Assembly, Dost Mazari"s lawyer Irfan Qadir has requested the court that he has been appointed as a lawyer only two hours ago so he is not ready to be given a chance to prepare and submit a detailed reply.
The court questioned where the record of the Assembly was, to which Irfan Qadir said that the deputy speaker would write down the reasons for his rolling. The court held that we are also two hours old so continue our arguments. The court said that the court orders that the advice is not worked out Irfan Qadir said that the deputy speaker understood that the party chief was the party"s parliamentary chief.
The court held that the country"s largest province could not be left without a chief executive so under limited powers Hamza Shahbaz would work on a day-by-day basis as interim chief minister. Earlier, chaudhry Pervez Alhi"s lawyer presented a letter from the Muslim League (Q) parliamentary leader in the Punjab Assembly to the court. The court has adjourned the hearing to Monday, terming the parties as time for preparation.
