Four-Day Advisory: Naran Kaghan Travel Discouraged Due to Safety Concerns

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority has recommended that tourists refrain from visiting Naran and Kaghan from June 15 to June 18 because of ongoing construction at the Mahandri Bridge.
The mansehra-naran-jalkhad (mnj) road will be inaccessible during this time as construction is ongoing to install a 33-foot-wide steel bridge to replace the one that was destroyed in the previous year"s flash floods.
According to dpo shafiullah khan gandapur, the new bridge is crucial to ensure the smooth movement of vehicles in both directions and effectively handle the anticipated increase in tourist traffic during the summer season.
The collapse of the previous bridge had resulted in a significant delay in inter-provincial travel between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Visitors are advised to delay their trips to NARAN and KAGHAN during these four days and instead utilize the karakoram highway for their journey towards gilgit-baltistan.
Officials stress that this action is crucial for maintaining safety and expediting the completion of the bridge construction. The usual traffic flow on the MNJ road is anticipated to resume after June 18.
