The premier, speaking at the inauguration of the Gwadar Eastbay Expressway and the launching of seven other development projects in Gwadar on Friday, underlined the importance of working on a war-footing for the city"s growth, calling it crucial for the country"s bright future.
The 6-lane Eastbay Expressway, part of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, would connect the Gwadar Port to Karachi via the Makran Coastal Highway.
He also stated that the alliance government announced a relief package of 2,000 rupees per month for each family under the Benazir Income Support Program to offset the impact of the recent oil price increase.
Furthermore, with China"s assistance, solar panels are being distributed to 3200 families in Gwardar in order to meet energy needs and address the city"s power shortage.
