Wasim Akram Makes His Comeback to Cricket with a Record - breaking 50 and Iconic Yorkers

Description:

During a charity event honouring the late Australian cricketer Shane Warne, Wasim Akram threw back the clock for fans by taking three wickets, including former England captain Michael Atherton.

Brian Lara, Charlotte Edwards, Ian Bell, Monty Panesar, Michael Atherton, Neil Johnston, commentator Mark Nicholas, and Manoj Badale played in the cricket match, which was umpired by Clive Llyod.

Wasim Akram hit Atherton"s stumps with a brilliant inswinging yorker, according to a footage released on Twitter by Cricket District. He also retweeted the video, writing, "Sorry @Athersmike, we might just get older, but some things never change!"

After the immaculate yorker hit the center and leg stumps, the duo, who had played against one other in the 1990s, were beaming, and Akram celebrated the wickets.

Akram, who was outstanding with the ball in the charity game, also performed admirably with the bat, striking a scorching 50 in only 20 deliveries.

Wasim is regarded as one of the game"s best left-arm pacers by Atherton, who shares the changing room with Wasim for so many years in county cricket.

Wasim, dubbed the "Sultan of Swing," has 414 Test wickets at an average of 23.62 in 104 matches and 502 ODI wickets, the 2nd in history, at an average of 23.52 in 356 games.
