Description:
Every sector has been negatively impacted, and the construction industry is no exception due to the historically high pricing of petroleum goods and the unheard-of depreciation of the Pakistani Rupee versus the US Dollar.
The prices of various materials used in the building business have reportedly increased by more than 20% as a result of these two causes, according to various media sources.
The cost of premium bricks has increased by Rs. 1,500, going from Rs. 12,500 to Rs. 14,000 now. The cost of cement has increased from Rs. 720 to Rs. 1,040 and that of white cement from Rs. 1,350 to Rs. 1,550.
Konain Abbas Khan, a builder from Rawalpindi who spoke with ProPakistani about this development, confirmed the development and claimed that over the past three months, the cost of construction materials has increased significantly and that people are gradually hesitating to invest their money in the sector.
