NCOC Announces New COVID-19 Booster Shot Criteria

Description:

As the country faces another wave of infections, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has established new criteria for COVID-19 booster doses.

The NCOC has enforced booster doses to curb the spread of the coronavirus, according to ARY News, and has also established the following conditions for recipients:

People over the age of 12.
Health professionals.
People with a poor immune system.

The centre said that all accessible vaccines could be used for booster doses and has also enforced a four-month delay between the first and second booster injections.

It goes on to say that outbound travellers can obtain booster dosages as needed. However, a gap of 21 to 28 days should be maintained between two booster doses, and these booster doses should be taken five months following the first dose. After 28 days, healthy people may be given a booster shot.

According to NCOC data, 86 percent of the eligible voters has previously gotten COVID-19 immunizations. The booster shot was unavoidable in order to restrict the virus"s spread.

On June 27, NCOC declared masks mandatory for all passengers flying on domestic aircraft, trains, and public transportation.
