According to his lawyer, police in Punjab have transferred journalist Imran Riaz Khan to the custody of CIA officers at the Kotwali police station in the provincial capital.
According to media reports, the police initially planned to keep him at the Civil Lines police station but later changed their minds.
Earlier today, a local court in Chakwal district granted Khan"s judicial remand after he was arrested at a toll plaza adjacent to Islamabad and brought to Lahore.
His lawyer, Advocate Mian Ali Shfaq, claims that his client was kept awake in police custody for 60 hours.

Despite the fact that the Islamabad High Court had already given him pre-arrest bail, a large number of cops and paramilitary forces imprisoned Imran Riaz Khan, an outspoken opponent of the incumbent government, late on Tuesday.
The journalist has been charged in nearly 20 separate cases, all of which he claims are inspired by his refusal to "stop speaking the truth."
More than a dozen FIRs have really been filed against him on charges ranging from mutiny to critiques of state institutions.
