PM Shehbaz Warns People of Additional Loadshedding Beginning Next Month

Description:

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has cautioned the public that more electrical load-shedding will begin next month.
The premier made these statements during a session of the governing coalition parties on Monday in Islamabad.

PM Shehbaz chastised the previous federal administration, led by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), for failing to procure the requisite Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) on time during the meeting.

He stated that the current government is attempting to obtain LNG as soon as possible in order to alleviate the issue of load shedding.

Pakistan, according to the prime minister, will soon achieve a deal with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He said that the current government saved the economy from bankruptcy by approaching the IMF.

The wealthy class has been taxed for the first time, and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) expects to collect more than Rs. 200 billion in taxes from them, he said.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has authorised the import of high-quality coal from Afghanistan in Pakistani rupees. The decision was made to rescue the nation"s diminishing foreign exchange reserves.

The permission came during a high-level meeting to discuss methods to strengthen the national transportation system for Afghan coal imports.
