Description:
Each year, a considerable number of young girls in Kpk (KP) are discouraged from continuing education due to the distances between their homes and schools as well as the absence of accessible transportation options.
Chief Minister (CM) KP, Mehmood Khan, has granted free transportation for female students in all public schools in an effort to increase the literacy rate among girls.
According to specifics, the initiative would initially be introduced by the Elementary and Secondary Education Department (ESED) under the Parent-Teacher Council (PTC) money as a trial project in outlying regions of the province.
The CM gave his permission for this and other initiatives during a recent Education Ministry meeting. The meeting was attended by senior officials from the ministries of education, law, finance, and planning.
The CM gave the go-ahead to establish a Centralized Education Board during the meeting. He informed a joint working group, which has 90 days to give its suggestions.
