PM Shehbaz Removes the One-Time Password System from Utility Stores

Description:

Considering the public"s distress, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has eliminated the One-Time Password (OTP) System utilised for utility store purchases.

Original ID cards must now be presented at the counter when purchasing subsidised items from utility retailers. The demand for photocopies has also been abolished. After making a purchase at a utility store, clients will now receive a confirmation SMS on their registered phone number.

When buying subsidised products from utility dealers, original ID cards must now be provided at the counter. The need for duplicates has also been eliminated. Customers will now recieve SMS on their registered phone number after completing a transaction at a utility retailer.

All zonal managers have been instructed to contact all Deputy Commissioners of Punjab and Islamabad in order to provide water coolers, tents, seats, and fans to clients at utility stores. Tents and water supplies are already in place, and instructions have already been issued to improve them even further.

Sugar is supplied at utility stores for Rs. 70 per kg, ghee for Rs. 300 per kg, and a 10 kg bag of flour for Rs. 400, thanks to federal government subsidies.

Rice and beans are being subsidised as well. Furthermore, almost 1,500 basic items are accessible at significantly reduced prices than the market.
