Nooh Dastagir Butt and Arshad Nadeem will acquire Pride of Performance awards

According to the August 14 honours list, gold medalists from the Commonwealth Games Arshad Nadeem and Nooh Dastagir Butt are among the beneficiaries of the Pride of Performance award.

On the occasion of Pakistan"s 75th anniversary, the Pakistani government published the names of the athletes who received awards.

Arshad Nadeem, a javelin thrower, recently earned a gold medal for Pakistan at the Islamic Solidarity Games and the Commonwealth Games, while Nooh Dastagir Butt triumphed in the weightlifting competition.


Jahangir Khan, a legend in Pakistan"s squash community, will get the renowned Nishan e Imtiaz, while captain Babar Azam and the head of the Kabbadi Federation will receive the Sitara-e Imtiaz.

Another group of sportsmen nominated for the pride of performance prize includes the two mountaineers Sirbaz Khan and the late Little Karim.

Ahsan Ramzan, the IBSF World Snooker Champion, Karteka Shahida, skier Amina Wali, martial artist Iran Mehsood, and blind cricket player Masood Jan are among the other recipients of the Pride of Performance award.

Shafiq Chishti, a member of the Pakistan Kabbadi squad, and Bismah Maroof, captain of the Pakistan women"s cricket team, will each receive the Tamgah-e-Imtiaz award.
