Speaking at the Lahore Airport"s renovated runway"s opening ceremony, he said that earnest efforts were being made to close aviation policy"s flaws in order to improve how well it operated.
Later, the minister announced in a tweet that Lahore Airport"s renovated runway can now accommodate A-380 aircraft.
He declared that the plan for the terminal expansion at Lahore Airport had also been approved. The airports in Sukkur and Dera Ismail Khan would receive the designation of international airports, he added.
Rafique stated that construction on the Karachi Airport"s runway upgrade would begin this year and that Gilgit, Chitral, and Skardu airports would also undergo further modernization.
