Tanveer Jamal, a veteran Pakistani actor and producer, died on Wednesday in Tokyo, Japan, after a long battle with cancer.
In May of this year, the "Teri Raza" actor relocated to Japan for cancer treatment, and he asked his fans to pray for his quick recovery.
He had been diagnosed with the disease in 2016, but he has since recovered and returned to TV dramas.
Jamal became ill unexpectedly during the filming of his play "Mere Apne," and was eventually replaced by Firdous Jamal.
In his 35-year career, he has played key roles in a number of notable dramas, including "Godfather" and "Tasweer."
