On Saturday, Pakistan"s prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif, reaffirmed his intention to take whatever steps are necessary to advance the country"s digital transformation and the youth of Pakistan"s literacy and learning abilities.
The prime minister stated during a virtual speech at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) taking place in Kigali, Rwanda, that youngsters made up around 60% of the entire population of the Commonwealth countries and had the destiny of their nations in their hands.
In addition, he added, "we have recognized that digital transformation is a cornerstone to attaining innovative, inclusive, and sustainable growth as a result of the growing use of technology and digital media.
The prime minister expressed his great joy at their gathering to discuss their countries during the CHOGM.
He recognised the positive effects of such a global forum on their common objectives, beliefs, and values as outlined in the Commonwealth charter.
He reaffirmed Pakistan"s willingness to participate in efforts being made by the Commonwealth"s youth as well.
The 10th Commonwealth Youth Ministers Meeting will be held in Islamabad in January of next year, and the prime minister welcomed the Commonwealth youth ministers to visit Pakistan and experience the beauty and diversity of the lovely nation.
