Description:
According to the sources ,Rs. 27.43 billion has been proposed by the state government in the upcoming federal budget, for the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications (MoITT) .
The main distribution is Rs. 6,280 crore for 15 new IT projects, Rs. 21.15 billion dollars have been proposed for 15 projects that are being executed in that field.Lawmakers said Rs. 55 crore for digitization and infrastructure projects, Rs. 300 crore for multi-office/departmental smart office projects, Rs. $3.5 billion to promote the digital economy.
The budget is Rs. 9.92 billion has been proposed for the development of Islamabad Technology Park, while Rs. $6.78 billion has been earmarked for the construction of the Karachi IT Park.
The state government said Rs. 1 billion on cyber security for the Digital Pakistan project and another Rs. $1 billion to transform the IT industry.
