Description:
The film Kamli which releases across Pakistan on June 3 is receiving a lot of appreciation from the public while the work of director Sarmad Khost is also being loved. Apart from the cast and the story, the songs of the film are also the focus, interestingly, some of the songs are named after elements like fire, water etc.
In an interview, Sarmad Khost was asked about the selection of names of songs and said that stories reflect life and you want elements to reflect life so you will also see the perfection of fire, air, water and soil in kamli while my favourite is Reshmaan ji"s song. He said that the direction is not known but it was a lot of fun to see Saba Qamar, Namra and Sania performing together on screen.
Referring to the location of the film, Sarmad said that the setting of the story was such that the location of the colour call was chosen as a back drop. When you travel from Lahore to Islamabad on the motorway, it falls at the location centre, passing by and this place always attracted me. He Said That These Mountains Are Neither As High As The Northern Areas Of Pakistan Nor Are There More Greenery Around Them There Are Lakes And Dry Trees Besides Sanata Far Away So It Became My Point To See.
Referring to the difficulties faced during the shooting of the film, Sarmad Khost said that one had to trekk for one hour every day while shooting outdoor and when the shooting was over, I used to look at the mountain and think that someone should take me back above magic, the place was such that even if you could not ride a bicycle, we had to travel on foot, yet including the cast. None of the team has shown tantrums.
