Ms. Marvel, Marvel"s most recent offering, has been a hit since its debut on Disney+. While the show has been hailed for its accurate portrayal of comic books, many fans were especially pleased with the show"s diverse ensemble. Several South Asian performers, like Bollywood"s Farhan Akhtar and Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan, are making their Marvel début with the show.
While other Pakistani stars, including Nimra Bucha, Samina Ahmed, and Mehwish Hayat, have already made their initial appearances on the show, fans are impatiently awaiting Fawad"s entrance. The show"s fourth episode features the first appearance of the Humsafar star as Hasan, Kamala Khan"s great grandfather.
But did you know that? Fawad has a fan in Iman Vellani"s (Kamala Khan) mother, too? In an earlier interview, Iman expressed how happy her mother was to learn that Fawad is also in Ms. Marvel. "I grew up watching them [the stars] and suddenly I was working with them," Iman said of working with a star-studded group. She continued, "My mother was more excited about Fawad appearing on our show than she was about me! So, I believe that sums everything up."
Iman continued, " "They are quite friendly. The truth that we are bringing India and Pakistan together via our music and performers. We have scenes in which a Pakistani and also an Indian, a British person, an American, and a Canadian collaborate. And, you know, that"s what our show is all about! Marrying people from diverse cultures and not being defined by one thing."
Earlier, after months of speculation, the Humsafar actor revealed his role in Ms Marvel. In an interview with Indian journalist Anupama Chopra, Khan stated, "Fawad was questioned if he was a part of Ms Marvel in an interview with Film Companion. "I am, indeed. I can"t dispute or lie about it because they made the announcement themselves."
While Fawad did not reveal anything about his role, he did discuss his experience working on Ms Marvel. "It was a fantastic experience and a lot of fun." "The cast that I performed with, the folks that I worked with, it was a lot of fun, but I"m sorry, I can"t say anything else at this time," he stated. In addition to Hayat, Saeed, and Khan, Pakistani actor Nimra Bucha will appear in the highly anticipated drama.
