Morris Garages (MG) Pakistan is likely to dominate the domestic hatchback market, as senior stakeholder Javed Afridi has teased the price of the automaker"s future MG 3.
Javed Afridi has been touting the MG3 for years but has never announced an official launch date.
Afridi teased the outside of the hatchback in his most recent Facebook post. The teaser"s caption read, "Yes. MG3 less than Rs. 2 million "In the final stages."
According to the Facebook post, the MG 3 will start at less than Rs. 2 million and would be available in Pakistan soon.
Last February, Javed Afridi sought input from hatchback lovers on the price of the MG 3. Afridi had first suggested that the MG 3 would cost less than Rs. 2 million.

The MG 3 is a subcompact family hatchback that is expected to compete with the Suzuki Swift, KIA Rio, Toyota Vitz, and other compact automobiles on the market.
The MG 3 is offered in two engine trims in the worldwide market. The first is a 1.5-liter, naturally turbocharged, four-cylinder petrol engine with a 5-speed manual transmission (105 horsepower, 137 Nm torque). The other option is a 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine (109 horsepower, 150 Nm torque) with a four-speed automatic transmission.
The MG 3 has a standard eight-inch touch-sensitive entertainment system screen with Apple Carplay, Sat-Nav, rearview camera, a reverse camera with vibrant guidance, multi-media control system on the steering wheel, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, AC with a dust and pollen filter, a four-speaker top quality sound system, and USB/AUX connectivity, to name a few features.
