Pearson Education and Beaconhouse School System, Pakistan"s largest system of private institutions, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide training and assessment and international academic qualifications to students in order to support their learning by providing world-class qualifications.
The MoU was signed on Wednesday at a local hotel by Emma Whale, vice president of international sales & marketing for Pearson Schools Qualifications, and Kasim Kasuri, chief executive (CE) of Beaconhouse. The senior leadership teams from both organisations, including Ali Ahmed Khan, Chief Operating Officer of Beaconhouse, and Premila Paulraj, Director Employability & Qualifications, Pearson South Asia, were present at the occasion.
In accordance with the terms of the MoU, Pearson will support the digital transformation necessary for the International GCSE exams to be administered online and on screens, together with practise tests given through the Mocks Service and graded by Pearson examiners.
At its first three branches, Beaconhouse will provide Pearson Edexcel IGCSE certifications; additional branches will follow. In addition, Pearson will provide students with course preparation e-books in all disciplines offered as well as online teacher preparation programmes to get teachers ready for the pertinent Pearson Edexcel test syllabus.

Speaking at the event, Emma Whale, Vice President of International Sales & Marketing at Pearson Schools Qualifications, called the MoU a landmark for Pakistani students" access to advanced online education. According to her, the alliance will bring in a new era of online learning because Beaconhouse is the industry leader in education.
