The PCB has approved the Kashmir Premier League for a second season.

Description:

The Pakistan Cricket Board has given its approval for the second edition of the Kashmir Premier League (KPL).

Season two of the KPL will begin in Muzaffarabad next month, as the NOC has been granted for the dates of August 1st to August 25th, 2022. The league"s final schedule is likely in the next days.

According to reports, the NOC was provided after the KPL management settled certain outstanding issues and agreed to the Pakistan Cricket Board"s terms.

The league"s upcoming season will have seven teams rather than six. Jammu Janbaz will join Rawalakot Hawks, Muzaffarabad Tigers, Mirpur Royals, Overseas Warriors, Bagh Stallions, and Kotli Lions as the tournament"s seventh team.

The second season"s player draught will take place following the Eid-ul-Azha holidays. In the second season, the Rawalakot Hawks will defend their championship.

On Saturday, the seven franchises met with the Kashmir Premier League management for the second season at the KPL headquarters in Islamabad. The meeting was attended by all of the franchise owners to discuss several significant concerns concerning the league"s second edition.

It is worth noting that the league"s management recently cleared all franchise players" dues for the initial season. In addition, the management cleared all payments for player rewards and prize money for season one.
