With a possible overall wage maximum of $2.5 million per franchise, the recently established UAE T20 League is poised to become the second-most profitable T20 league in the world. It is anticipated that the league will pay its players up to $450,000 a season.

The highest-paid players in the league will reportedly earn $340,000 in compensation, but a player"s total salary can reach $450,000 through "total direct payout," which consists of wages and a loyalty bonus.

The highest-paid players in the Indian Premier League (IPL) make more than $2 million each season, in contrast. The Hundred pays its highest-paid players about $164,000, while the Pakistan Super League (PSL) pays players more over $200,000. Although the highest paid players in the Big Bash League (BBL) earn about $238,000 each season, it is less lucrative than the PSL due to the smaller amount of matches and shorter season.

There will be a total of 9 wage positions for the players, with the highest category paying $340,000 and the lowest $10,000, according to the UAE T20 league. The minimum salary bill for each team will be $1.5 million, the loyalty incentive will be $0.5 million, and the bid purse will be $0.5 million. The maximum wage bill will be $2.5 million.

The franchises are entitled to choose up to 12 foreign players for their squad from among a maximum of three local UAE players, one UAE player under the age of 23, and at least two players from partner countries.

Just before the eighth season of the PSL begins, the UAE T20 League is scheduled to begin. The tournament"s first iteration is slated to take place from 6 January to 12 February. The 34 overall matches in the six-team tournament have a structure akin to the PSL.
