The film was scheduled to release in 2021 but the release was postponed due to coronavirus. Katrina Kaif shared a short video on her Facebook page on July 20, 2020 in which she can be seen before filming the film with fellow actors. The phone ghost is directed by Gurmeet Singh while the writers are Jaswinder Singh Bhatt and Ravi Shankaran.

The script for the movie was written by Jasvinder Singh Bath and Ravi Shankaran, and it was directed by Gurmmeet Singh. While distributing the newest movie poster, The release date for Phone Bhoot was also disclosed by Katrina.

On Instagram, Katrina Kaif revealed the latest Phone Bhoot poster, in which she will appear with Ishaan and Siddhant. Katrina captioned her Instagram photo after sharing the poster, "The world of #PhoneBhoot contains aapka swagat.

Coming to theatres near you on October 7th, 2022." Vicky Kaushal, Katrina"s husband, was one of the first people to respond to the poster. He left two emoticons on the actress" post: a ghost and a heart.
