Description:
Actor celebrated three decades in Indian cinema on Saturday with the first-ever Instagram live.
Shah Rukh Khan, who celebrated 3 decades in Bollywood on Saturday, engaged with fans via his first Instagram live. During the 30-minute virtual discussion, Shah Rukh discussed his upcoming films, particularly Pathaan, as well as his personal successes, strengths, and faults. The actor also discussed his sibling friendship with Salman Khan, whom the Indian media frequently portrays as his arch foe.
Shah Rukh said of his decades-long trek, "30 years... It seems like only yesterday that I arrived in Mumbai, planning to work for a year or two at most, doing five, six, seven, eight, or ten films. If things don"t work out, I"ll find a job — I"ve studied economics and mass communication — and I"ve always felt I"d find a career in the media, even if it"s just lighting the setup [or] being a sound assistant. I adore movies! So I always assumed that if I didn"t make it as an actor, I"d leave after a year or so and go back working on other people"s sets in Mumbai. But now I want to work in cinema for another 30 years. In fact, I want to continue until I am 106."
"I dedicated a part of myself to every picture that I did," the actor said of his career. When a fan asked Khan what sequences he had trouble with, he answered, "I"m really shy, and there are a lot of moments I can"t do, so I urge the directors and writers to "please don"t do this for me since it makes me feel very weird." One of the most challenging things for me as an actor is to laugh on TV."
The actor then used examples to prove his argument "I try to avoid sequences in that I have to laugh — which seems absurd. There are those situations where you just have to laugh — I remember a basketball scene with Kajol in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai where I couldn"t stop laughing. Karan [Johar] had to make the tiny child who says tussi jarahay ho make funny faces for me to chuckle in the scenario. Even then, I couldn"t perform it as well as I would have liked. It"s difficult for me to laugh."
In a statement on his next film Pathaan, he stated that the process of making the film is more significant to him than the movie itself. He also added that Pathaan is the type of action he has wanted to perform for 30 years, thus he has thoroughly loved filming it. Shah Rukh also talked about getting the same haircut as Deepika in the film, revealing that the teaser will be released in November or December of this year.
In terms of his working experience with Salman, Shah Rukh stated, "There is no working experience." There is always a good experience, a friendly experience, and a brotherly experience. It"s always a pleasure to work with him. To be honest, we haven"t really done a full-fledged picture together, save from one that was also not full-fledged. We didn"t spend much time together in the movie. So we get to work in a film for 4-5 days a year."
Salman was thereafter referred to as the King Khan"s family by the King Khan. "He"s my brother." We have no idea who the elder brother is. On different days, based on who made the error, each of us acts like an older to the other." He recalls having a good time dealing with Salman in Tubelight and Zero, and hinted at maybe teaming with the Dabangg actor again for Tiger 3. "Inshallah, I"ll attempt to be in Tiger as well," stated the Dilwale star.
Before to the session, Shah Rukh released the Pathaan motion poster, which depicts him in a gruff avatar with a rifle in one hand. His shaved appearance drew a lot of attention on social media. Shah Rukh commented on Instagram, "30 years and not counting because your love and laughter have been boundless." Let"s keep going with Pathaan."
Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand, is set to hit theatres on January 25 of next year.
